I cannot find the source for this, just the compiled assemblies in the data folder?

Hi Chris,

To me, it felt a little weird opening this and not seeing any of the sitecore configuration items as files in the cloned repository. It seems they're included the data\packages folder in the zip files.

Is there a right way that the contents should be included in a repository such that building will generate the package zip file, and that changes can be made and tracked against the content / config items?

Hi Josh,

You're right, the items should be somewhere changes can be made. I didn't need to make any changes so I never looked into it. Plus like you say there's not a standard way to break them out of the package zip file. Right now I'd suggest regenerating the package in Sitecore each time items change.

Could do a shell script that'll build the zip file from a directory structure - which would be useful for other people too.
