Icarus, equipped with wings crafted of feathers and beeswax by his father Daedalus, escaped from the labyrinth of Crete. Flying high in the sky, Icarus' hubris led him to disregard his father's warning not to stray too close to the sun lest the wax in the wings melt. His wings disintegrated, and he plunged into the sea where he then drowned.
As did Helios, the god personifying the sun in Greek mythology, confiscate Icarus of his ability to fly, so too does Helios prevent players in The Floating City from using creative mode flight.
More broadly, Helios implements all of The Floating City's custom functionality. Ranging from flight restriction to custom world generation, Helios' features are uniquely written for The Floating City, so Helios does not have much use elsewhere.
