This work develops a Physics-inspired Neural Network (PiNN) to learn the parameters of commercially implemented Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) systems in the automotive industry.

The proposed PiNN is trained and tested on both synthetic and empirical data of space-gap and relative velocity from three car-following experimental campaigns.

The repository includes data (part7.csv) from the Ispra-Casale experimental campaign, as well as two Jupyter notebooks in Python that implement the ACC parameter learning on both synthetic and empirical data. Note that all datasets used in the paper are freely available via OpenACC.
