License?

Hi,
Is this licensed as MIT or GPL?
In setup.py it's listed as MIT, but LICENSE.txt says GPL. I would prefer MIT, fwiw.
Thanks for a great library!
Hi,
Thanks for bringing this up!
I appreciate your interest in the licensing.
I remember intentionally choosing GPL for this project, as it aligns with my vision of fostering open collaboration and ensuring that any improvements or modifications are also made public.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to let me know.
Understood. (And thanks for the quick reply.) To make sure improvements or modifications remain public, would you be open to using the LGPL license instead? I would like to use this library in a bigger project, but (it is my understanding) GPL requires the combined work to then also become GPL. I prefer to use MIT or Apache2 for my projects.
I understand that using LGPL allows others to use the code in closed-source projects,
while any 'fork' they create of this library will need to be public. I'm okay with that.
I'll change the license to LGPL
Are you still planning on changing the license to LGPL? (LICENSE.txt will need to be changed.)
I apologize for the delay I forgot, I changed now
Thanks! No prob.
