[Desktop][Feat] Submit app for malware analysis to avoid Windows Defender SmartScreen warning?

Why I'm filing this

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Having to skip past Windows Defender's warning screens worries me (and may have discouraged other people from installing the app). Furthermore, it's possible that the security report and the app I download go out of sync.

Describe the solution you'd like
As outlined in https://stackoverflow.com/a/66582477/1404966, Microsoft allows software developers to submit a file for malware analysis. According to that answer, Microsoft SmartScreen warnings will go away faster, or sometimes even instantly. Since Elevate isn't being released that frequently (for example, the last release was several months ago), this is hopefully not too onerous for @thomaschampagne.

NOTE: I've submitted to the linked site as a user, but think that @thomaschampagne may get more traction as the actual developer.

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • The StackOverflow question suggests buying certificates, but @thomaschampagne has rightly pointed out that this is too expensive.
  • Alternatively, we could "wait for a long time" -- but the timeline for that is not clear.

Update: I tried running the installer again today, and did not get the warning message. If another user can verify that the warning message is no longer present, we can close this issue (and maybe add a comment to the docs?)
