  • How much time will it take to make both versions work?

  • You only hear from the people who liked the old interface. Even if you make the world better on average, there will still be some subset of people who's world gets worse. And there's nothing you can do about it.

  • Are you a professional developer or in your free time?

  • How much work can you do to help packages switch to the new version?

  • How much of an improvement is the new version?
