Next time I do substantial work here I will presumably do these upkeep items, as and if it makes sense:

  • use_tidy_dependencies() and enjoy using rlang, cli, etc.
  • Update to rlang errors, specifically
  • use_standalone("r-lib/rlang", "types-check") instead of home grown argument checkers
