Can't add gas consumption to energy dashboard

jonassmets opened this issue · 5 comments

Trying to add my electricity and gas consumption to the HA energy dashboard. Adding electricity consumption works fine. It shows me the night and day consumption. But for gas it doesn't show me the identity. When I want to fetch the price / kwh true and identity it does show me gas.

In your second screenshot you have selected the second option "Use an entity tracking the total cost", which is not correct as your meter in EnergyID tracks it in m3?

Can you check what the used "Unit" is in Energy ID for you "Gas" meter? And what the metric is? It should look like the screenshot below:

I'm pretty sure I have a similar issue, where it does allow me to select the gas entity that's no longer relevant (we used to manually input the values prior to getting a smart meter), but not the one I actually want to select. It does show in the general entity list, so I know it's out there!
(the "entity not listed?" link points here: https://www.home-assistant.io/more-info/statistics/)

@ANRIV have you checked the settings in EnergyID?

Took a look just now and it's listed, under the correct name and meter number, and doesn't seem any different from the electricity ones, which do work! Are there specific settings I should check?
