Hate to say it, but I think you should add a skipping option for the boot-up intro.

I want to begin making chiptunes, but I honestly don't want to boot up Furnace so I can sit through a flashy, bombastic intro without having to skip it. I mean, it's just forced excitement and I ain't got time for it.

I'm a simple kind of guy. I don't need things to be excessive and too overpowered. Complicated even. You have to respect one's differing opinion whether it's political or not and give them what they need if they've earned it, or whatever bland moral I can spew outta my gullet in an attempt to make the developers believe me. If someone's a little impatient or they think the boot-up is "too much," then it would be helpful to give them a skipping option, like me in this case.

And if you're not gonna implement it, fine, be that way and make your userbase happy.

inb4 "You're no fun"
inb4 "Woaahhhh dude, what's with all the hate? Just let people enjoy things my guy"
inb4 "We're not gonna change it no matter what you say :)"
inb4 "Check your privilege"

you can skip it by clicking on it and holding the mouse button

and you can disable the intro in the settings

inb4 "settings too convoluted" im working on it

Oh, thank GAWD. I knew there was an option to skip. You all are so helpful for a newbie like me.

besides iirc it doesnt play after the first boot by default

  1. The intro only plays during the first startup. If it played again and you have not set it to play on each startup, please report again as it may be an actual bug.
  2. Even if you don't like seeing the intro, you can skip it by pressing any mouse button for more than 0.5 seconds. Yeah I know you cannot use the keyboard for that, but I will add keyboard support as well.
  3. Read sections 11 and 12 of the license.
  4. If you expected drama or corporate attitude, this is the wrong place.
