A feature request: it would be very useful to have a simple tool to implement the treedist functionality. Alternative tools are extremely slow [and speed is what I really like in nw utils], while phylip itself is a bit tricky when it comes to piping or paralleled analysis in general.
It would also be useful to have a way to output bipartitions, for example with nw_ed.
