Image refresh interval slider doesn't have any effect on Firefox

Steps to reproduce:
Adjust slider to 1 minute. Observe that the images keep coming in at 15 seconds intervals.
System Info.
Firefox 55.0 (64-bit) Linux installed from debian unstable (on a Debian testing machine)
