Images that start with a "T (tile)" could greatly be improved without losing originality. I wonder if there is a way to extract them easily from the game resources instead of making screenshots.

Some images look like they came from the beta. Some use older graphics and show bugs. If losing some sense of originality is okay, then I would prefer using opaque mode instead of transparent for increased visibility.

Going forward, I would like to note in the README compression level and image features / file format supported by GIMP to use for all images.

PNG compression is lossless, so just use the highest compression level.

An original PNG file was 8-bit/color RGB, non-interlaced.

GIMP created grayscale images show: PNG image data, 8-bit gray+alpha, non-interlaced.
