Git status file search does not work with multiple panes

The git status search does not work when the TMUX window has multiple panes loaded. Is this expected behavior?

I'm having this issue in the first window of one of my sessions, but seemingly not anywhere else. I'm not sure why this is because I tried restarting tmux completely and it still happens just for that one window. All my windows have 2 panes.

Ignore, I commented too soon. My issue seems to be caused by file paths that start with ../
