It looks like you have appropriately disabled WebGL rendering so this is different than #8. Is it possible the font for "Firacode-Retina"
is not installed or not loading? I am using "Fira Code"
(linux) so there may be slight differences, but I noticed that some characters look different, for example 0

Might the issue be that you need to specify "Fira Code Retina"

On MacOSX Catalina, FiraCode-Retina
worked for me.
