"string exceeds end of line" and other various errors on connection

Hi all,

  • Windows 10 21H1 build SO 19043.1288
  • transgui 5.18.0
  • transmission-daemon 3.00 (bb6b5a062e) on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS

A few months ago (with transmission-daemon 2.94) started getting "string exceeds end of line" and the other various messages attached when connecting to the daemon.
At first it was every once in a while and retrying was successful most of the times.
Starting today transgui doesn't connect at all.
I tried upgrading to transmission-daemon 3.00 (from 2.94) but nothing changed.

Please find attached all the various errors received.

Same here. Did you find a solution to this?

No.
Reinstalled, cleaned %TEMP% and registry and nothing worked.
Installed on a clean machine and connected to the same remote Transmission instance and it works properly.
I suspect something somewhere is broken in temp dir or registry or config file for some reason, but no idea what.
