Project Abandoned?

Is there anyone still maintaining this project? Given the list of pending pull requests, it looks like no one at Cloudant is giving the project any attention.

Really hope Cloudant (or the original Author) is able to give Bucky some more love and care.

They did a good job with Bucky so far. (For example; we tried to switch to Statsd but that was slower for us then Bucky)

However we too are using an internally forked and developed Bucky to be able to release fixed into production which is less then ideal.

I started Bucky2 at https://github.com/trbs/bucky2 to add (initial) Python3 support and Travis builds.

I welcome everybody to join in and contribute to make Bucky even better and have regular releases.

The aim is to improve Bucky in other ways like; more unittest coverage, forwarding to other bucky instances, speed, speed and more speed.

@MrSecure: we're unfortunately not giving Bucky much attention anymore here at Cloudant, you're right. We decommissioned it internally quite some time ago and haven't done enough work to continue to shepherd it along.

I'm glad to see that folks are still getting use out of it, though. It'd be a shame to let it rot. @trbs, if you're interested in taking over maintainership of Bucky, let me know directly. I'm pretty sure we'd be able to make that happen.
