I think anyway to make the trx balance of an account gt 0.1 is functional.

You mean your sun balance of your newly created account gt 1 but you are not sure whether it is activated?

So, I was wondering if the account would be activated if the amount was received through an internal transaction.

Firstly, I think newly created account can be activated by any ways of sending an amount of trx, of course including internal transaction; Secondly, if sun balance of your newly created account equals 1, I think it is already activated, otherwise it can't have a sun balance gt 0.
