Support for React Native 0.59.0 (with Hooks)

Since we've migrated to using context over redux and React hooks make context way better, would this library be able to support React native 0.59.0?

I think hooks are awesome, but I'm hesitant to support it at this point (since it hasn't been around that long yet). If you want to experiment with a PR though, that would be great!
