This issues should be named: nvAlt won't launch on new MacBook Pro with OSX 10.14.1.
I've been using nvAlt with no problem after upgrading to Mojave. But I recently got a new laptop and just now tried to run nvAlt. It simply won't open. I tried downloading and installing a new copy to no avail. No error. Just 'application not responding'. I'll try it yet again and wait longer to see if it comes to live. I didn't see any other issue like this. But perhaps it is not being reported.

It was a dropbox issue. I am closing.
