I suspect much of the ALBUS python code could be replaced by Astropy.
There are python modules that could probably replace a lot of the James Anderson handing of RINEX files. GeoRinex (see https://pypi.org/project/georinex/) looks to be very powerful.
There are a couple of python packages that interface to the IGRF magnetic field model See https://github.com/klaundal/ppigrf and PyIGRF https://pypi.org/project/pyIGRF/
The International Reference Ionosphere has a python interface - see https://github.com/rilma/pyIRI2016
