Clicking on map after search is performed doesn't remove prior search polygons?

STR:

• Click on the map to search
• On some region of the map which didn't show a result polygon, click there

Expected: two parts (1) old search isn't still shown on map, but also (2) should you even be able to click the map again?
Actual: Seems to not remove old polygon matches, and/or you end up seeing all the results on the map but not the results list?

I don't see this on all branches, so test after main is settled a little bit more.
