The URL is not valid

Closed this issue · 5 comments

Hello.

Jitsi server version: stable-9220
Moodle version: 4.1.8+(Build: 20240112) and 4.1.9+(Build: 20240301)

When there was plugin 3.4.0, everything was fine.

When I updated the plugin to version 3.4.1, the error "The URL is not valid" began to appear in all jitsi elements of all courses.

If I create new jitsi elements in the course after updating to version 3.4.1, the same error is displayed.

Please help me find what the problem might be.

Hi @astral0pitek,
Can you show me the url that the access button leads to in a jitsi? You can obtain it by right-clicking on the Access button and copying the link. Do you have the debug activated in Moodle? If you activate it, what message does it show? Does the error with the debug activated give any more information?

URL that the access button leads:
https://lms.example.com/mod/jitsi/session.php?avatar=https%3A%2F%2Flms.example.com%2Fuser%2Fpix.php%2F27388%2Ff1.jpg&nom=test%20user&ses=jitsi.10.lmstest-test-2&courseid=3259&cmid=71923&t=1

Yes, debug mode enable. When I just clicking access button it nothing error information, but if I changing the site language when I see "The URL is not valid" it show me error "A required parameter (courseid) was missing"

I have the same problem.
Temporarily, you can set the jitsi_id parameter to "username" to bypass the error.
If you have "alias" or "firstname + lastname" you will get this error.

@konrad0172 thank you for this information. In my tests I have always been using jitsi_id configured as username and that is why I was not knowing what was happening. Now I can solve it.
I will inform you.

New version 3.4.2 solve this. Thanks and sorry for the problem
