Stuck at update ready for removed repositories

Noticed that luzifer/docker-icecast2 got removed from the Docker hub recently and the webGui displays update ready next to the existing container. Clicking it goes through the normal routine
Pulling image: luzifer/docker-icecast2:latest
TOTAL DATA PULLED: 0 B
Removing container: icecast2
...
but never resolves the non-existing update. Pulling the image from Portainer responds with:
Failure
pull access denied for luzifer/docker-icecast2, repository does not exist or may require 'docker login'
