Is there / will there be a function to set a timer, to automatically skip to the next picture?

Currently, such a feature is not planned.
However, it's trivial to make yourself using the "index" method: http://jsfiddle.net/fmg11deo/
It would be nicer if it looped, but that is something entirely different and far more difficult.
