Additional context

Update: I'm confused.

  • I had noticed the above behavior for weeks before posting; it was consistent.
  • A few hours after posting, I noticed that the View at... menu item was working.

Screenshot from 2023-12-14 10-24-56

  • Rebooting, it was greyed out and unavailable again.
  • A day later--and only some mundane office work and one small update to Obsidian (flatpak) later--the *View at..." menu was once again working.

BTW, I have Variety installed via the Fedora RPM repository.
And I have included the latest log.

This is working for me on Xfce on v0.8.11 (tested Reddit and NatGeo sources), I wonder if it's an issue with the GNOME indicator plugin.

I am currently experiencing this issue.
I'm on:
Hardware:
Intel i7-13700k
Gigabyte z790 Aorus Elite AX

Linux install:
OS: Debian 12
GNOME: 43.9
Windowing System: X11
Gnome Extension: AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/615/appindicator-support/)

Note that it seems the Windowing system doesn't matter. X11 and Wayland cause the same issue.
The AppIndicator extensions seems to work well for other software that uses it as I haven't see any other trouble.

I should mention, it seems to work (but I don't know how long) if I disable the Gnome Extension: AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support and then reenable it. I think the suggestion earlier that it may be Gnome related may hold some water.

It doesn't work when I first login. But, once I lock and unlock the screen it suddenly works again.

Seems to be related to #635. In previous version I couldn't copy to favorites, but now with 0.8.12 it's the "View at" that's not working. Apparently somebody is playing Whac-A-Mole.

Ubuntu 24.04
Gnome 46
Wayland

I am experiencing the same issue with KDE 6 (wayland).
