No backup of SMS since April initial backup

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Program installed fine and did initial backup
2. Neither auto backup nor manual backup copies message since initial backup.
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Backup process starts, gets to 0/490 items, then stops with message 'nothing to
backup' even though there are many new messages.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android. SMS Bakup+ 1.4.5
Please provide any additional information below.

I am having the same problem. Initial install and backup ran with no issue.
the next day after more text messages, I opened my gmail, then SMS and clicked
the manual Backup button, it starts then reports: "There were no items to
backup"
