Is multi-core decompression impossible for squash file system?

I have tried squashfs-tools and squashfuse.
No one has the multi-core decompression feature.
Is it impossible to decompress a mounted squashfs with multiple cores?
But unsquashfs does it well, which is pretty confusing for me.

It should be possible, but that's not added to squashfuse yet.
