How to dim various elements when app backgrounded?

macOS Terminal.app dims the tab control bar when a Terminal.app window is backgrounded in favor of other Terminal.app windows, or even other applications.
Which Hyper CSS selectors match the tab control bar and main terminal area, when the application window is currently backgrounded, so that we can apply similar dimming effects?
