Math mode, for example, $n$ defined in \text{} gets ignored.

f(n) = \begin{cases} n/2, & \text{if $n$ is even} \\ 3n+1, & \text{if $n$ is odd} \end{cases}

See the following output: The first row produced by LaTeX, the second raw produced by Skia.
