Hello,

Can the program schedule a shutdown in the background, then quit the program and the shutdown still happens at the pre-selected time ?

Hello, currently the Timer can't be running in the background. So, if you close the Timer window, the computer does not shut down at your pre-selected time. I will try to implement it in the next release.

to add to this idea, perhaps a tray icon to see progress on the existing timer and easily pause/play it via context menu?
