Describe the bug
I got inconsistent icon in Dolphin file manager, Some of the folder/directory icons shows breeze icons theme instead of whitesur. Side panel icons are also breeze themed.
I am using Hyprland.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install hyprland.
  2. Install icon theme using AUR or clone repo then install
  3. Can configure QT and GTK settings using qt6ct or nwg-look respectively.
  4. Open Dolphin and see different directory icons and side panel icons.

Expected behavior
All icons should be from whitesur

How did you installed this icon theme, did you download the zip file from github ?

I installed them using git clone but I got this issue, then I used yay to install its aur package, I didn't used any zip file

Hello, thank you for your response. I apologize for my delayed reply.

  • I attempted to use the files you sent, but unfortunately, they did not resolve the issue.
  • I suspect that this issue may be related to Dolphin itself or another KDE component that I have not installed with it.
  • I have conducted research on this matter, but I have not yet reached a definitive conclusion.
  • Additionally, I have tried using other icon themes, but they also failed to function as expected.

Just i guess, does happen anything when right click on the dolphin sidebar > icon size select ie 16x16, 22x22 selecting any of those?

@buufmax I had the same issue and changed icon size to 16x16 or 22x22 solved it, but a larger icon size still did not work.

@Peterhungchien When you point the mouse at the black separator line and move it to the left, does it change the shape of the icons to symbolics? That's how it works for me.

@buufmax I did not get it. Could you share a screenshot? Thanks!

No it is not working for me

@vinceliuice I solved the said issue by passing the following option in the ~/.config/kdeglobals

[Icons]
Theme=WhiteSur-dark

@Fosssil It works for me. Thanks a lot! How did you find this?

I also solved it. You can achieve this by

  1. Open Dolphin.
  2. Right click the anywhere empty space in the panel.
  3. Go to 3rd option icon-size
  4. Choose auto-resize (1st option)

If it's solved, then close this issue as solved.
