  • I have checked if my issue has already been reported, and I am certain that my problem has not already been addressed.

What problem did you encounter?

Tried finding more info about this, but to no avail. I'm not really familiar with flatpak and the way GPU drivers interact with it, but I am sure my GPU (GTX 1060 - 6GB ) supports and runs Vulkan 1.3, as I have installed the latest nvidia drivers and have run vulkaninfo with no issues.

I'm running Debian 12.7 (bookworm)

Any ideas?

You can try to add parameter to kernel boot options: nvidia_drm.fbdev=1.

Tried adding the parameter to my grub cmdline default but the issue persists. Any other ideas?

After a bit of reading up on how flatpak works (and how messy it is with handling drivers), I tried installing the latest drivers I'm running (550-107-02) through flatpak as well with

flatpak install --user org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.nvidia-550-107-02

This seems to have fixed the issue, but it's kind of dumb the solution involves locally installing the same drivers twice in separate locations ._. hope this helps anyone struggling with this. If this doesn't work, maybe try your luck installing the drivers listed in this post as well; best of luck!
