  • Use a C++ object exposed to python to manage the time evolution
  • Fold in e.g. distant_past, far_future
  • Allow for 2 cases:
    • null timeline (just do everything once) - default (then timeline is no longer compulsory)
    • a vector of (float) checkpoints and an overall number of steps. checkpoints must coincide with steps
