Create a Twitter Tipbot for Vite

Prize Bounty

$5000 in VITE + VITE merch

Challenge Description

Create a tipbot for Twitter

Requirements:

  • Users can deposit into a central pool of funds
  • Users can send tip from the pool to another user (with a text command replying to a Twitter user or tagging a Twitter user, e.g., “@vitetipbot tip @johnsmith123 100 VITE”)
  • Allow users to withdraw from the pool to a Vite address
  • Users can interact with a Twitter bot via DMs for withdrawal
  • The Twitter bot account should describe how the bot works and build a community for tippers

Implementation guideline (for your reference only):

  • The pool of funds is centrally controlled by the tipbot owner
  • Ledger of user funds is recorded within a smart contract
  • Transfer between users is done within said ledger
  • When user withdraws from the pool, the owner gets the funds and transfers to the target address

Submission Requirements

  • A working frontend and backend that capture all functions described above.
  • All submissions, including all code, must be open source for future use and reference by the community, and links to external documents must be provided in the Github repo submission
  • We will require a demo of the submission

Judging Criteria

  • The Vite team will run tests to make sure basic functions perform as required
  • The code submitted will be subjected to a review for extensibility, organization, proper documentation

Winner Announcement

  • If the submission meets the minimum requirements, Vite Labs team will schedule a demo after reviewing the submission.
