The Movie Database Trailer is a metadata agent for Plex Media Server that tries to find trailers, interviews and behind the scenes videos for your movie library. It is forked from Trailer Addict metadata agent after Trailer Addict's backend and API was taken offline.
A Plex movie library with the Plex Movie agent or The Movie Database agent set as primary agent.
You can install The Movie Database Trailer:
- From within the Unsupported AppStore, or:
- Manually: See the support article "How do I manually install a channel?" over at the Plex support website.
After installation:
- Create The Movie Database API Key (https://developers.themoviedb.org/3/getting-started/introduction).
- Activate the agent in Settings > Server > Agents.
- Configure The Movie Database Trailer agent settings and set the API Key (v3 auth) you have obtained from The Movie Database.
- Use the Refresh All option on your library to let the agent collect and add trailers.
- (Optional) Install a better YouTube plugin if you encounter problems playing trailer.
