how to configure halite on ubuntu

i tried using the step given on this link

but for step
3.6.1.3
3.6.1.4
i am getting some misunderstanding
while running using step given on this site

while running using above step i am getting this error

ATTEPT TO AUTHENTICATE WITH SALT MASTER FAILED

So,any one can provide me how to solve this problem,i am leanring saltstack last 10days

While I can't speak for the developers, I can say what I've observed about halite.

  • It hasn't seen much in the way of development in the past year
  • SaltStack (the company) is working on it's own for-pay dashboard/ui that is part of SaltStack Enterprise

I wouldn't expect to see much further development on halite in the future unless it's from the community (and even then PRs sit for months, etc).

There are alternatives. Saltpad is probably the most compelling publicly available one at the moment.

+1, i think contributing and supporting https://github.com/tinyclues/saltpad is the best bet, as i see no activity here.
