Hey @microwavables! Thanks for opening your first issue. We appreciate your contribution and welcome you to our community! We are glad to have you here and to have your input on Tanzu Community Edition.
Since Docker install is totally broken, It's a waste of time so we went to Rancher.
No regrets.
Hi @fractal1977 - thanks for the feedback. Have you tried unmanaged-cluster
? It's a lite-weight deployment ontop of kind
that bootstraps clusters in minutes and doesn't require as many resources
Give it a try with:
$ tanzu unmanaged-cluster create my-cluster
Hi @jpmcb , already tried...kube-api server communication problem...SSL handshake problem and so one and so one...
Found one Github issue with same problems with no answers...
Ressources isn't a problem for us, but time and complexity to to test if Tanzu can compete agains't Rancher is.
The Vsphere method can do the trick (maybee not...) but again...for a POC/Test it's far from light/lite method.
For now Rancher win in our enterprise because it's "easy and quick".
Thx for the reply.

- Usage scenario: We are experimenting on Tanzu on VMWare and are using TCE for learning purpose, make innovations and get a create/drop approach on our workstations.
- Status: We are using TCE on developemen environments on the programmer's machine
We are using TCE to promote internally Tanzu to developers, essentially thanks to the unmanaged
cluster. We also are willing to build a community around Tanzu TCE here in New-Caledonia, by creating original contents cf our latest DEV.to post.
👉 My goal is to switch our actual and default K8S
runtime form minikube
to TCE to perform a shift left approach on our stack.
Hope this helps.
Hopefully it did help
@microwavables Hello can you please guide me why Tanzu management ui does not work in Windows platform because everytime I use to integrate it with my AWS credentials it gives me the bootstrap failure error. Also I need to know more about Tanzu CE as I have my presentation on Friday to deliver about TCE.
Hey @Jawwuable - sorry to hear you're having problems. This isn't really the right place to discuss that though. Please file an issue or hit us up in the Slack channel and we can try to help you with that.
