How to use altera/report_area.sh

I'm in the process of measuring the power area and timing after deploying Vortex onto an FPGA, but I'm not quite sure how to use the report_area.sh,power_play.sh, analye_timing.sh file. I couldn't find any instructions on how to use it. Could you possibly provide guidance on how to use it?
