But i'm going to create several sample applications during next weeks, hope this will help you.

Everything devends on your tasks.
What king of app do you want to make?
If you need a SMPP client - you can use smpp-dumb-client as a basis.
But it's fully asynchronous and this can be an issue.

Also which SMPP Protocol does this library uses?
