Table tutorial may inaccurately state what scope row does

mraccess77 opened this issue · 2 comments

Tutorial states "By using the row value for scope assigns the header cells in the second column to the data cells on the left and the right of the individual header cell." https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/tables/two-headers/

Yet the spec states this for scope row
"The row state means the header cell applies to some of the subsequent cells in the same row(s)."

Can you link to the spec, I think I did review the HTML5 spec back in the day. It might be that the spec got updated or more precise since 2016 when most of the tutorial was written.

The row keyword, which maps to the row state
The row state means the header cell applies to some of the subsequent cells in the same row(s).
