References not compiling in TeXmaker

Hello,

using the initial ads template with TeXmaker, the references do not show up. I get [?] where [1] etc...should appear.

The same template with Texworks works perfectly fine...I am going through forum threads to fix that_not achieved so far. Have any how you experienced this and could give a tip?

[?] is probably do to the bibliography not being build properly. I would advise using the proposed chain of commands.
