Match visually-ambiguous characters for more matches & longer strings

If the goal is a human-readable string (as opposed to a grepping the config file), then it occurs to me that the effectiveness might be increased by matching visually ambiguous characters too.

e.g.
"0", "o", & "O" all look quite similar, as do "1", "l", and "5" & "S"...
