Issue
InDesign exports drop caps in EPUB 3 using a tag. This creates problems with assistive technologies that when reading text do pause or stop after each tag.
How to fix it
You can use the CSS ::first-letter pseudo-element which allows you to select and assign drop cap graphic styles to the text, without the need to use the tag.
