ProSeed and Patch 1.5.3.1

Opened this issue · 7 comments

Hello

Since Patch 1.5.3.1 I am having issues with ProSeed not making Tramlines correctly or not at all.
It appears to be that in certain directions it will not work at all, other directions it is patchy and some it works as intended.

I have tested with Patch 1.5.1 and it works without issue, so it would appear that something was changed in Patch 1.5.3.1 by Giants which is stopping ProSeed from working correctly.

I am attaching a picture showing a test on Goldcrest Valley map with the only mod being ProSeed, hopefully it will show the issue. It compares the difference between the 2 patches.

I hope you are able to discuss this with gotchTOM and Giants and find a solution so that the mod can be updated.

We are aware of this issue but unfortunately we have no solution so far.

Ok thank you for the reply.

I hope Giants can assist you in finding the solution to fix the mod.

I don't know if this will help you identify the problem but we have noticed that this issue does not happen to the tramlines when the seeder is turned 'Off' only when the seeder is 'On'.

When using ProSeed and the seeder is turned 'Off' it creates tramlines correctly.
When using ProSeed and the seeder is turned 'On' the tramlines are patchy or do not work.

Giants fixed parallelograms in 1.5.3, to improve on Seasons. Now it is actually as it should be (the way Stefan Geiger, the CEO, designed it). It means though their might be 1 pixel offsets where you don't expect them with how they previously worked. (The fix was for 1px offsets).

I still don't fully grock the parallelograms, but look into using 0.5 and 0.25 pixels (see our ssDensityMapScanner code)

Please test the uploaded v 1.0.1.1!

It is now working although in one direction the tramlines are slighter wider / thicker.

Tweaked a bit more. Maybe no big change to pre-emergence marking but i think the tramlines are more open when crops growed.
