Changing the URL for an object breaks Preview functionality

I currently have many Events.

By default, an event would be at domain/events/event-name

However, I changed the events list URL to be "#" so that each event is at simply domain/event-name

This works fine, but it appears to have broken the Preview functionality. (We get a 404 when we click Preview).

We've changed the CMS to work with this again, was an issue with the preview urls being generated with different urls. Should just work if you refresh your CMS.
