Hi guys

is there a way to bring Paramount+ to pre 2018 LG TVs running webOS 3.x?

I can't load the "Paramount Plus" app with this firmware either

Please can someone do this on their TV with Paramount Plus (for me the EU version or German would be best. from a "LG OS 4", or "LG OS 5" LGTV):

Requirements for PC:
WinSCP
DB Browser for SQLite

  1. Go to https://github.com/RootMyTV/RootMyTV.github.io and root your LG TV.
  2. After successful root, enable SSH in Homebrew Channel App on TV. Then restart TV.
  3. Find your TV ip address (I have scanned LAN for devices).
  4. Run WinSCP and connect to your TV: ip address, port 22, user: root, password: alpine
  5. Uninstall the app that you want to export IPK.
  6. Install it again from LG Content Store.
  7. Browse to /var/luna/data and copy "downloadhistory.db" file to your computer.
  8. Run DB Browser for SQLite, open "downloadhistory.db" file, select "Browse Data" tab. Scroll to last row and copy "history" column value. It should look like this:

  1. Now just copy the "sourceUrl" value and paste in your internet browser.

It's not going to work - packages fetched directly from the CDN are not installable due to DRM.

Also - according to Paramount+ there's no webOS app - https://support.paramountplus.com/s/article/PI-How-do-I-watch-Paramount-on-my-LG-TV?language=en_US

Also - please, for the love of god, this is absolutely unrelated to homebrew channel.

There is some different information

Supported models and versions
LG TV is supported on:

All LG TVs with webOS 4.0 or higher (2018 - current models)

why doesn't this have to do with: Homebrew Channel to do, everyone wants the app. and yes, as of 4.0, the app does exist. it would be cool if the dan comes in the shop. every OS 3x user says thank you.
And you can't do that with the DRM?
what speaks against a test?
