Hi all! After working on it for 3 months, I'm excited to announce that the first draft of ใ€Šๆ–‡่จ€้™ฐ็ฌฆ๏ผšๆ–‡่จ€ๆ–‡็ทจ็จ‹ๅ…ฅ้–€ใ€‹, Introduction to Programming in Wenyan is available! It is an introduction to wenyan-lang as well as programming in general, written completely in idiomatic Classical Chinese! Check it out!

You can either download an authentic-looking PDF, or read online!

As it is my first book written in Classical Chinese, there's bound to be some errors and inaccuracies in grammar. If you're well versed in Classical Chinese, your review would be very much appreciated!

Thanks and happy reading!

I thought I was the only one who cared about throwing out english and replacing it with Chinese. This brings me to my complaint: the english comments here are an eye sore for me. I resent the fact that our communications are in english at all when we're all Chinese. I particularly dislike posers whose language choice is a function of how desperate they are for "free world" acceptance.

On the other hand, I do recognize the myriad of legitimate considerations that may well have precipitated the current state of affairs. Discretion is obviously yours, and you are addressed with deference and some amount of admiration. After all, your Classical Chinese is a lot better than mine. I shall brush up my Classical Chinese. Thanks for the motivation.

P.S., Now that I've endeared myself to you, feel free to suggest any number of textbooks on Classical Chinese. People might want to learn the language now that there's yet another reason to do so.

Please do feel free to use Chinese! Many commenters are already doing that :)

I'm merely an amateur, so I don't have professional recommendations. I mainly just read the books whose topics I'm interested in. If you want textbook style, I think ๅคๆ–‡่ง€ๆญข is a well known starter. I recently checked out another collection called ๅคๆ–‡็ญ†ๆณ•็™พ็ฏ‡, which I think is also a nice alternative to the former. Also, middle school and high school textbooks often excerpt a section/paragraph from a book, so if you like the paragraph, go check out the whole book. That's how I started anyways :)

Hope that helps!

it's amazing!
