Loading times of standards website

What is the issue with the HTML Standard?

Dear Committee.

The HTML Living Standard should be communicated on a website with acceptable loading times.

At present, it appears as though https://html.spec.whatwg.org/ is the single-page version. Its loading time is excessively long. The waiting indicator is on most of the time and the browser repeatedly offers to abort the page. No good!

It would be wiser to make the multi-page version the landing page of the site.
Please make browsing and working with the site a better experience.

Also: a single-document pdf file of over 1.500 pages (in a rather small typeface) is no great help!
Thanks for your consideration.

(i'm not an editor)
i don't see how this would be possible without breaking years of links.
is the multipage link non-functional for you while the site loads? this is meant to work and act as an escape hatch for this very scenario

Please use the multipage version if you find the singlepage version unsatisfactory!
