What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connecting with Remote to computer linked directly to DSL router (Earthlink)
2. launching quicktime movie on iPhone
3. launching some internet function on main computer
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Speakeasy speed test 5,500+kbps download speed
Instead: internet pages load slowly, speed check: less than 1,000 kbps
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPhone remote 0.9.18
(MacPro 2x3GHz)
Mac Os 10.4.10
Please provide any additional information below.
Also quicktime playback on iPhone is very choppy with Earthlink and stalls
(doesn't happen if
connected within network with Airport/Comcast)

It's not just a download that slows down my Mac. Anytime there is an active
process going through
iPhone/iRemote (i.e. displaying the Mac screen through iPhone), the Mac is
noticeably slower and again,
download speeds slow down, now to 500kbps.

you are most definitely maxing out your upload bandwidth, which has the effect
of throttling your download
bandwidth. cf any bittorrent client: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/faq.php#10
please take the discussion to the discussion group if you're still having
network problems...
