Bug: Slow S470 photometer access

During extensive calibration, we noticed slow access of the S470 photometer's luminances, especially about 10x slower than in our lab's matlab implementation.
Presumably, the problem is a slow/wrong usage of the serial port package, leading to idling or timeouts.
